Adopting a dog is a meeting of the heart as well as of the mind. It is a lifetime commitment to an animal that will be your loving companion and your best friend.

To view our adoptable dogs that are in Texas please visit our Adopt A Pet link here:

We also have a North East "hub" with our two co-leaders Lia, Michelle and Jen. We transport adoptable dogs to the North East. You can either request for a Texas dog to be transported directly to you as an Adopter or we do occasionally send some to Fosters. The list of dogs that are currently in New York are at this link:

Please note we are a foster based rescue so if you are interested in meeting a dog it is by appointment only once we have received back an application and have conducted a phone interview. We are not a shelter and do not have "one location" for you to meet all of our dogs. So in order to meet, we need to coordinate with our fosters and find a suitable location/time to meet. We do also require home visits but if due to restrictions we ask for you to at least send pictures of your house/yard.

If you are interested in adopting a dog fill out the application at this link (or email us at bellesbudsrescue@gmail.com and we can send you a PDF version:

We have a few dogs that are not deemed "adoptable" yet whether it's because they need to get spayed/neutered, undergo HW treatment or any other medical/behavioral needs. However, we are always open to a foster to adopt. Below are a few of our soon to be adoptable dogs that are not yet listed on Adopt- A- Pet.

Aiofe

German Shepherd

Aoife (ee-fa) is a sweet, easy going senior girl found on the side of a busy road in west Houston. It was clear her back end was injured she was rushed to the vet. The Dr examined her and noticed her belly was distended so he did an ultrasound and surprise...she’s pregnant! She has about 2 weeks left before giving birth and given her back leg injuries a c-section may be necessary and to be put under general anesthesia she’d need a full bloodwork panel prior. She is also 9yrs old and Heartworm positive

Cade

Hound Mix

What a ham!!! This boy is happy to be rescued!! He has a long road of recovery… estimated at 12 years old, he will be getting much needed TLC to get rid of all the worms, coccidia and get his weight back, rid his ear infections, and eventually neuter him and address his eyes… but no matter everything hes gone through, he’s a lover!!! Will follow you no matter where you go and always wagging that tail!

Honey Bee

Catahoula Mix

Honey Bee was rescued out of the Beeville shelter with two of her young pups... her pups were adopted but Honey Bee is very timid and slowly learning that humans are friends. She's amazingly coming around, great on a leash and crate trained!
